Music Tuition
At Stamford Bridge Primary School we are proud of our musical heritage and the long-standing links we have with musical tutors who provide private lessons from our site. We ensure all tutors who work from our site are DBS checked in line with our safeguarding expectations. Tutors should also be a member of either the Incorporated Society of Musicians or the Musicians Union (the only UK professional bodies for musicians, the ISM being the specialist body for instrumental teachers, composers & solo performers).
Please contact the individual tutor to enquire about lessons for your child.
Piano

Flute
Miss Amos is the flute teacher at Stamford Bridge School and has been teaching here for many years. Lessons are available from Year 3, however a good way to prepare for lessons in the infants, is by learning the fife which is also available. Pupils are encouraged to study for exams or if they like just for fun.
Over the past eleven years, two pupils that have studied with Miss Amos, have been accepted for Cheethams School of Music in Manchester. Amy Jayne Milton also became a member of the National Children's Orchestra, is currently playing with The National Youth Orchestra and auditioning for prestigious music colleges. Many pupils have also had success at The Harrogate Music Festival.
Anyone interested in starting flute lessons, should enquire at the office or see Miss Amos for further details.
